What is a Clockwork Orange?!

Question: What is a Clockwork Orange!?
Answers:
Hi!. A Clockwork Orange is a movie(obviously ) and also a book!. It is extremely unusual and also quite disturbing!. But it is creative and really captures an audience's attention!. It is about a young boy (it is set in the future) named Alex who is extremely violent and has no morals or values (the world is corrupt!) He runs in tosome serious trouble and then becomes the guinea pig for a new experiment!. He is given an injection to make him feel very sick and is the strapped down and forced to watch very violent and horrible things (people being killed/bashed, rapes etc)!. They even force his eyes open!. He is made so sick by this that after the treatment, every time he thinks about or sees any form of violence of wrong doing, he collapses from feelings of intense nausea!.

It is very interesting book/movie!. The movie is slightly dfferent and I recommend the book first!. Thanks!

Oh yea and it is called A Clockwork Orange because a man whose wife he rapes and kills is writing a book and on the table he sees the script for it and notices the title is 'A Clockwork Orange'!. This man comes back later in the book and movie!. Very interesting how it all ties in!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Burgess wrote that the title was a reference to an old Cockney expression, "as queer as a clockwork orange" Due to his time serving in the British Colonial Office in Malaysia, Burgess thought that the phrase could be used punningly to refer to a mechanically responsive (clockwork) human (orang, Malay for "man")!.

It's a really good bookWww@Enter-QA@Com

A Clockwork Orange is a 1962 novel by Anthony Burgess, which was later the basis for a 1971 film adaptation of the same name by Stanley Kubrick!.

Burgess wrote that the title was a reference to an old Cockney expression, "as queer as a clockwork orange"!. Due to his time serving in the British Colonial Office in Malaysia, Burgess thought that the phrase could be used punningly to refer to a mechanically responsive (clockwork) human (orang, Malay for "man")!.

Burgess wrote in introduction to the 1986 edition, titled A Clockwork Orange Resucked, that a creature who can only perform good or evil is "a clockwork orange — meaning that he has the appearance of an organism lovely with color and juice, but is in fact only a clockwork toy to be wound up by God or the Devil; or the almighty state!."

In his essay "Clockwork Oranges", Burgess asserts that "this title would be appropriate for a story about the application of Pavlovian, or mechanical, laws to an organism which, like a fruit, was capable of colour and sweetness"!. This title alludes to the protagonist's positively conditioned responses to feelings of evil which prevent the exercise of his free will!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
