there are a couple of valleys in california!.
i live in the central valley (modesto) which is 500 miles from L!.A!. and people sorta talk like that!. not really today so much, but we do say 'like', 'hella', and 'retarded' a lot!.
and theres the valley near los angeles where the whole "valley girl" thing originated from!.
