Question: Domestic violence on tv and movies!?!?
I am brainstorming for episodes of t!.v!. shows or for movies that were based on domestic violence, land it is turning out to be a lot more difficult than I thought!. I already have Fried Green Tomatoes and Sleeping With the Enemy, can you think of any others!?!? Who abused who!? What was the type of violence and how was it portrayed!?!?!? also, try "Sybil" if you dare!. I'll warn, it's pretty weird and creepy!.!. it's about a young woman who has 16 personalities that she switches between!. She was a real person who became one of the most famous psych patients in history, as she was treated for her multiple personality disorder!.
During the movie, in flashbacks, you see that she became so messed up because her mother abused her so badly!. Her mother was severely psytsophrenic and put her (Sybil) through unspeakable abuse!. (Pschytsophrenics are so harassed by inner voices that tell them to do bizzare things, that before long, they can't distinguish reality from fantasy, and are driven to do what the voices tell them to do!.!. not a good quality for a parent!.)
