Answers:
The Prestige: Two magicians (Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman) have a "competition" over who has the best magic tricks!.!.!. they each try to sabatoge the other!. The plot is much darker and is more about the revenge and the lengths a man will go to in order to be "the best"

The Illusionist: A magician (Ed Norton) tries to win back/rescue the love of his life and childhood sweetheart (Jessica Beal)!.!.!.and save her from the prince, who is conrtoling and abusive!. He eventually fakes her death and frames the prince leaving them to live out their lives happily under the illusion!.

That said, i love them both- however it depends on what mood i'm in as to which i prefer!. The Prestige has better action and more magic (Plus a great deal takes place in Colorado- where i'm from!.)!. The Illusionist has more of a touching love story and more passion!.

All in all- both have HHHHHOOOOOTTTT actors and wonderful plots----with FANTASTIC endings with amazing twists!.!.!.but i'd have to go with the illusionist (as i am a helpless romantic)Www@Enter-QA@Com

I like the Illusionist better - probably because of the cast and plot!. (Edward Norton and Jessica Biel from Stealth and Next)

The Prestige is about the two magicians who try to oout-do each other and it becomes a deadly game!.

The other movie is more about romance and drama -Www@Enter-QA@Com

the PRESTIGE was soooo much better! I watched them both and absolutely LOVED the prestige, and the Illusionist was a total disappointment, I hated it!Www@Enter-QA@Com

I liked the Illusionist slightly better than the Prestige, but that's not to say that the Prestige is not a good movie though!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I thought they were both excellent movies!. I would advise you to go ahead & rent them both!. I liked the Illusionist a teeny bit better because of the romance angle & Edward Norton's extremely good acting!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

They are both good, I thought that The Prestige the movie with more wide appeal!. However The Illusionist was a deeper movie, it also had IMO a better twist!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Both excellent movies!. It hard to compare them because they are so different!. I think The Prestige is a darker movie, while The Illlusionist is more family!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
