William isn't in the movie, but he is mentioned!. Scully has become a full-time doctor, and is treating a boy with an incurable disease!. She doesn't want to give up on him, even though the only treatment available is an experimental one that is extremely painful!. After telling Mulder about the boy, he asks if he's William's age, and he says that losing their son left a hole for both of them that will never be refilled!. So, he is considered, but he's not in the movie!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
