Psyco is definately on the top 5 list of worst ever remakes!! I mean come on- you can't make a Hitchcock film BETTER!.

It is a great commentary on violence, and reality versus fantasy!. Very unforgiving, dark, and twistedly ammusing!.
The remake was done by the origional director only a few years after the origional release!. It is the same frame for frame, simply with different actors!.

I think that the best "remake" is the film version of the 60s TV show "The Fugitive!." Every week, we used to tune in to see Richard Kimble slip away from Lt!. Gerrard as Kimble sought the one-armed man!.
John Frankenheimer took that two-season TV series, which was not a huge ratings draw (it only made two seasons) and turned it into a pulse-pounding thriller that took us all over Chicago (my home)!. The casting of Harrison Ford as Kimble was brilliant, and, of course, Tommy Lee Jones won the Academy Award for playing Lt!. Gerrard!.
It was the best "TV remake" movie - ever!. When I see that they've made remakes of : Sergeant Bilko, McHales Navy, Bewitched, Rocky and Bullwinkle (!), Car 54, Where Are You!?, and so many TV shows, I always wish that they'd see "The Fugitive" to see how it's done!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
