Answers:
Gosh, definitely not a stupid question or feeling, in fact I'm feeling the same way right now about the same film!

You actually have no idea, I have a long history of getting emotionally attatched to films and getting sick over them!. I once became so obsessed and helpless that I was honestly CRYING over it!.

The only thing you can do is let time pass!. For me, the only thing I've ever been able to do!. I also have a diary in which I write my experiences and life in, and a lot of it (if not most) is based on movies!. You should also have some discussions about it, talk about the film with others!.

What I do is fall so madly in love with characters to the point of obsession, it's really hard to deal with!. And then the recent Batman altogether took me to the point of madness!.!. I still can't get it out of my head!.!.

Trust me, I know about this so well it's like, not funny!. I don't know if you're in it like I am, but you have to let it pass!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i know what you are talking about!. I guess its because you become emotionally attached to the characters, and when the movie is over, you feel like you have lost something!. I get that way when i watch Pulp Fiction, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, True Romance, and Planet Terror, to name a few!. there are characters in those movies that i feel a connection with, and even sometimes i find myself dreaming about being in those movies!. the only thing that works for me is to just keep watching the movies i love!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I understand what you are saying!. After the first time I saw The Dark Knight (yes, I've seen it multiple times), I left feeling a bit depressed, even a bit morbid!. But that is how the film kind of left off!. It ended on a dark note!. So maybe all of the movies you are watching have dark tones to them!. Try a little comedy or something! Put a smile on that face! !.!.!.and well, it also doesn't help much that one of the actors (RIP Heath) died!. Just don't worry about it too much!. Don't take it too seriously!. (Man!. Too many Dark Knight jokes in there!.!.!.) :)Www@Enter-QA@Com

yeah!.!.!.i get that kind of feelings sometimes to when i see a great action movie!. I got that feeling when I saw saw Transformers and Back to the Future!. Sometimes life seems so dull when you life isn't like it is in the movies :-(Www@Enter-QA@Com

Ummm, if you feel that the movie is going to make you feel depressed than I suggest you don't watch it!. If you are than just remember that it's just a movie and it's not real!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Go to the movie within the next day or two but watch a comedy, such as DrillBit Taylor, American Pie (Outdated I know but a real stress buster), You Dont mess with Zohan, Meet the spartans, superherro movie anything like that!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

It's ok! It's not a stupid question at all - especially not for Dark Knight!. My advice is to not watch it for a while!. Only watch it again if you really feel up to it!. And keep smiling! =)Www@Enter-QA@Com

csifan12 is right!. It's just a movie!. Not real!. Um, you could try watching something happy, like a comedy sit-com or something!. Like Friends or How I met your mother!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Can you point out what exactly makes you feel depressed after watching them!? I can hopefully give some advice if you shed some more light!.

Update:

In terms of this being Heath's last movie, it may be a little more pleasing to think of it as solidifying him in Hollywood history!. He's received a good amount of praise for his role in Brokeback Mountain, but the excessive amount of hype around the role of The Joker, the evidence of his immersion into the role as shown in the movie, makes a "best for last" story!.

The same thing happened to James Dean, and I have no doubt he'll be as big an icon as James in the future!.

As for the other depression in terms of movies, that is a very tough question to answer!. If you're looking for a thorough answer on the subject, I'd suggest finding a psychology forum, your chances of a useful answer there would be MUCH better!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Its not a stupid question!. After i've watched the movie Stand By Me (1986), i was depressed!. We're talking about like for a month! I went to Italy during this depression, and on the bus rides, i couldn't stop thinking about it!. But then i read a book, which made me take off the Stand by Me depression, and made me depressed about that book, lol!. Hey, it was a book about a little boy with Luekemia, so i had a right!.
But you have to take your mind off of that movie! I get those feelings sometimes too after watching action flicks!. Go to Blockbuster tonight and rent a funny movie!.
I recommened Walk Hard, its HILARIOUS!. I love it! I just returned it!.
also:
-Superbad
-Knocked Up
-Borat
-Talladega Nights!.

you must rent one of those, the one that'll help the most is Walk Hard!.
But don't worry, you'll get over it!. Just watch a movie or something!.

EDIT:: as to the first answer, you said "Remember, its just a movie not real life!." Well, thats probably the problem!. Because the truth is life can be so dull sometimes, and we wish life was like a good movie!. I'm sad because i want to make those summer memories in the movies!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

whenever i watch movies that are sad or sometimes anything i get the same way!. like with casino royale, everything was okay, it wasn't even a sad movie, yet i still felt awful because this one person died and i felt horrible!. i couldn't stop thinking, 'i can't believe that person died'!.

i too saw the dark knight and i felt horrible after watching it!. it was sad that people who did wrong got off and other certain people had to take the blame!. then i also thought of the joker as heath ledger and felt sad that he had to be so depressed and that this was his last movie for forever!.

i think the worse i ever got was after watching narnia 2 believe it or not!. it was that i couldn't believe it!. i kept saying, ' i can't believe (insert name(s) here) are never coming back!. it's so sad!.' boy, did my friends have a good laugh at this one!.

it is sad to think that these things happen, but this is the point of movies with these emotions, to make us feel like the movie is real and that this happened!. they make it so that we feel sympathy towards the characters like they were real!.

this is the magic of movies and sometimes we have to realize that life is not perfect and things like this happen in real life and that we're human!. unlike disney movies, things don't always end well and even though we'd like it to, sometimes it doesn't!.

i usually feel so sorry for the characters and cry and most people don't understand this, but what happens is your emotions get caught up in the movie and to you it is real!. don't ever let people make fun of you!. to most people it's just pictures on a screen, but to some people the story is real!. i think that through movies we are able to believe in the unbelievable and become children once again and even though sometimes it's sad it represents that things are sad sometimes and that that's life!.

watch some comedies, carry some tissues with you, and believe!.

good luck!.

I guess after seeing The Dark Knight, you must have been depressed because it was a dark movie with a plot and points in the movie that aren't the most happy go luckiest!.
Most of the characters in that movie did have a negative feel to their personalities, even one of the most positive characters in the movie, Harvey Dent, ended up being a very negative character, the face of a villian, Two-Face!.
I liked the movie because I loved the sadistic ways of the Joker, but to others, they might see him as disturbing and inhumane!.

Some movies might make you very depressed just because of how they are!. Maybe you're just very depressed because its just how you are!. So, maybe that can be changed, or maybe you should just embrace that feeling for the moment!.
