Question: A Subtle Knife MOVIE!?
Do you think that the sequels to Golden Compass (Northern Lights) will be made!. Seeing as the sequels, especially the third one, have a lot to do with Authority and the Church, do you think they'll have the guts!?

I doubt there will be sequels since the Church and people who go to church put out so much controversy that made the studios scale back on the original story content!.
The movie also didn't do well in theaters!.
It's just like what happened with the Da Vinci Code movie!. That movie brought up some interesting ideas on Jesus Christ and religion, so of course it became a target to religious people!.
Instead of criticizing the movie on acting, story, directing, production values or the usual things religious people made comments on Tom Hank's hair!.
Same thing with the movies Dogma, The Last Tempation of Christ, the Harry Potter series, the Exorcist, and others!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I don't see how they can, especially if Hollywood wants to cut out all the religious aspects of the movie!. Religion is a HUGE part of the trilogy, and by cutting that out how can you possibly stay true to the story!?
The only way the movies can be made is if a foreign or indie film maker picks it up!. They usually tend to not have too many boundaries, which is why they also make some of the best movies!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i agree i am a Christian and i got a slap from my cousin when she found out i started the GC i saw the movie it wasn't that great and i didn't get past page 30 in the book they most likly won't make the 3rd one where they actually kill God (imposible)Www@Enter-QA@Com
