Question: In "The Dark Knight", why did Alfred burn the letter from Rachel!?
Don't mean to create any spoilers, but Alfred burned the letter from Rachel to Bruce!. After seeing the movie, I couldn't figure out why!. Any ideas!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

because bruce was under the impression that rachel was still in love with him and waiting for him!. after she died alfred burned the letter because the letter was her telling bruce that she didnt love him and she wanted to marry harvey!. alfred burned it because bruce was already hurting from her death and it wasnt necessary to add more pain to it by giving him that letter!.

Bruce felt a lot of guilt for not saving Rachel!. He was also under the impression that Rachel would wait for him after he retired his Batman persona!. Knowing that she was really in love with Harvey would have crushed him!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Because Rachel died, Alfred thought it would be better for Bruce to believe that she would have come back to him, instead of knowing that she had intended to marry Dent!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
