This was HER release!. SHE said it!. It wasn't her baby beacause she made other movies during this same time!. It's not a 'buzz' it was her press release that said this!. As in "Rachel Weisz announced"!. I wish people would get their facts together and stop spreading that it was her baby when Rachel Weisz herself said it was due to different interests with the screenplay!.
She worked on The Brothers Bloom which comes out only a little after The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, which proves it wasn't just about the baby!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Last news i read on scifi!.com about Mummy 3, Brendan Fraser said she didnt not give a reason for why she didnt reprise her role but respects her decision!. So guessing we may not know the real reason for why she didnt join the cast!.

According to her, it was because of her child; she didn't want to be that far away for so long!. But the buzz around Hollywood is "creative differences", in that she didn't get along with some of the people behind the scenes!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I'd guess because that movie isn't going to be good!. She's moved forward in her career because yes, she is a good actress!. To take that role would probably be a step back!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
