Robert Downey, Jr!. is a much more versatile actor - he had done everything from comedy to thriller, you name it he has or can do it and pull it off effortlessly, which is why he has been cast in so many roles over the years, and he always bring an element of fun and exhuberance to any role he has been in and given even a gloomy charactor that extra something special dimension!.
Christian Bale is a much more intense actor and has a way or drawing you into more complex, even unlikable charactors where you like and hate them all at the same time and many have been Oscar worthy performances that have been overlooked because they are not conventional roles!. He has a way of making every role intense and serious, even when he is trying to make things light!. It would be interesting to see him in the lead in airy comedy to see what he would bring to that role!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
