Question: Will the dark knight beat titanic!?
i don't want to hear if it's possible, do you think it can sell more tickets than Titanic!? i read the article the dark knight might beat it in grossing, but that's only because movie theaters raised the price a bit and back than it was cheaper!.!.!.!. so, if the dark knight wants to win completly it would have to sell alot more tickets than just 600 million grossingWww@Enter-QA@Com

I think it will beat it because people are seeing it like crazy and school doesnt start for most for another week or so!. That gives plenty of times for more kids to go see it before school begins!.
Yeah, tickets cost more now but inflation was a lot lower in 97 than it is now!. It cost 200 million for Titanic in 97 and 185 million for The Dark Knight while inflation has rose quite a lot in 11 years!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

In order for The Dark Knight to beat Titanic in ticket sales, it would have to make about $900 million at the box office!. I see that as extremely unlikely when you look at the week to week drops!. In fact, I'm inclined to think The Dark Knight is going to come up short of Titanic's domestic gross total!. It will pass $400 million in the next day or two, but then it's got to hold strong enough to make another $200 million!. That's a pretty lofty number!.

I don't think Dark Knight can beat Titanic because: first, the economy of most of the countries today are currently going down because of price hike in all things; and secondly, back then, piracy and downloading/watching of films on the internet weren't available yet!. :-)Www@Enter-QA@Com
