Haha, my parents do that! They do it pretty much every time they go to a movie, and they've never gotten caught!. I think they only save a few dollars though, lol!. I definitely don't think it's stealing!. You paid for the candy, just not at the overpriced theater!Www@Enter-QA@Com
I work at a movie theater that doesn't have a policy about outside food/drinks so we let people bring whatever they want!. Most people don't know that though, it's really funny to watch them try to sneak stuff in!. One lady was trying to hide a cup of coffee behind her scarf (as if I couldn't see her hand) and another lady had a handbag that smelled exactly like McDonalds!. Sometimes can't lift their arms because they have too much food in their coats!. Then they see my coworkers come in with pizza boxes!.!.!.
But anyway, yes I have smuggled food into other theaters!. As a rule, I'll bring food if it's a big chain (Carmike, Marcus, Cinimark) because they can take the loss, but if it's a local theater, I buy my food there!.
Keep in mind that theaters don't make much from ticket sales and profits from concessions pay for the electricity, AC, etc!. If the food wasn't expensive, the tickets would just cost moreWww@Enter-QA@Com

Yes, I figured everybody that thought $3!.50 for a pack of M&Ms that cost a $1!.00 at Wal-Mart was rediculous did this also!.
No in all my years I have never been caught got really skerred recently though when I went to the "I Am Legend" sneek preview and they were checking purses and pockets before you went in the theater but that was to check for cameras only!.!.!.Whew! LOL!
I save about $5-10 cause I will bring in a whole meal from Taco Bell (easiest to sneek in as burritos you know fold up in a purse and all) compared to the movie prices I would have spent about $12 and I spend about $4!.

Yes my girl and I do it almost everytime (can of pop and candy)!. Never been caught but since I bought the stuff I am not worried because I didn't steal it!.!.!.I got it at Walmart for a fraction of the cost!. If the theaters don't want people to bring in stuff they should lower their prices!. The drivein I go to is actually really reasonable and I always buy stuff from their concession stand!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
One time my friend and I had a craving for fried mushrooms and fried pickles !.!. a popular thing down where I live !.!. and she brought her beach bag!. We stuffed both FULL to go boxes into her beachbag and grubbed out the whole time during the movie!. I snuck our cokes in!. I've never been caught because I'm very slick about it!. :p And no I DO NOT think it is stealing at all!. However I think the price gauging that goes on at the movies with all their concessions should be considered stealing from US!. I do it all the time, the prices at movie theaters are insanely over-priced! I've never been caught, and there's no need to worry about being caught, they do not have the right to search your bags at movie theaters!.
