How did/do you like the Harry Potter movies compared to the books?!
Question: How did/do you like the Harry Potter movies compared to the books!?
I liked the books a lot better than the movies!. I feel like the movies are just based off all these special effects to make things look appealing, and the story sort of gets!.!.!.!.!.!.sort of butchered!.!.!.!.(couldn't really think of a better word)!. They cut out all these really important details, but include all the parts where someone is saying a spell or when there is a big battle!.!.!.!. I can't remember all the differences!.!.!.!.I remember they took out the potion task in the first book, and!.!.!.!.!.in the fifth, at the last battle, they were flying around!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I agree!. While the movies are somewhat entertaining (somewhat), you're right, the movies do butcher the plot, making all but indiscernible but to those of us that have read the books!. The best parts of the books are often changed, shortened, or overlooked altogether, and the script supervision in the movies is often abandoned, so that there ends up being a lot of factual errors!.
The films are not cinematic magic, pun intended, but they are useful in helping to visualize the books' descriptions!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

same here, i think i luv thebooks better because it has so much more info than movies!. for a harry potter movie, in about 60 minutes, its all over but in books, you need lyke 60 days to read it!. but then again, i like to see harry`s sexy face in the movie screenWww@Enter-QA@Com
i enjoy the books 10 times more than i like the movies!. the movies are suckish and the books are good, but the movies mess up the story because some people see the suckish movies instead of reading the books!. :PWww@Enter-QA@Com
i like the movies better because u dont have 2 read and plus its faster the only benifits u have of reading the book is missing a couple of details and ive read every book and i think its stupidWww@Enter-QA@Com

I would've loved the movies much more if I didn't read the books though (that way, I wouldn't criticize the movies so much all the stuff they left out)!. Such as the time in the 4th movie, they left Dobby completely out & when they went into the kitchens!
But if they did leave in every detail, the movies would be 8 hours long (which actually would be pretty cool)!. :-)
Anyway, I don't think they flew around like that (in whisps of black and white smoke)!. I think they just wanted it to be more interesting!.
