What actually propels the Star Ship Enterprise in the original series & movies?!

Question: What actually propels the Star Ship Enterprise in the original series & movies!?
I'm not a very big star trek buff, this has been bugging me for awhile because i watched the movies again recently!. in the original series, the scanner satellite-dish thing was on the front of the body, so i assumed those 2 long things behind the disk part propelled the enterprise and the body contained the engines (mr!. scott's engine room)!. But in the movies, they make many references to the engines being in the body, plus the satellite dish has been replaced with this blue-glowing thing!. And the 2 long things behind the disk look totally different, they look useless!. So my question is, what exact point on the enterprise is the thing propelled, is it the blue glowing thing or the 2 rods!? If not the rods what the hell are they for!? and where did the scanners go!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
The starship enterprise is propelled by a warp drive engine which is located in enginnering the 2 long things are diffenernt coolers the impluse engines are located to the back of the disk (the top round part of the starship) and the warp engine nacelle are on top on the coolers or the long things!. The warp engines are powered by Dilithium Crystals!. Dilithium is a real world molecule!. On The original series the could not be grown so they had to search for them which you seen in a lot of episoides!.
Here is some info about the ships

Enterprise are featured in the original Star Trek television series and the first through sixth Star Trek films!.

Registry: USS Enterprise (NCC-1701)
Class: Constitution
Service: 2245 – 2285,refitted most notably in 2270 which included a new warp drive, new warp nacelles, and almost every other vital part of the ship!.
Captain: Robert April (animated series episode), Christopher Pike, James T!. Kirk, Matt Decker,[2] Willard Decker, Spock
The Federation Starfleet's first Enterprise is the main setting for Kirk’s historic five-year mission as depicted in the original Star Trek series and The Animated Series (2265–2270)!. Two-and-a-half years later, the newly refitted Enterprise appears in The Motion Picture, and again in The Wrath of Khan, before being destroyed in The Search for Spock!.

Registry: USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-A)
Class: Constitution (refit)
Service: 2286 – 2293
Captain: James T!. Kirk, Spock
This ship first appears at the end of The Voyage Home, and is the main setting of the films The Final Frontier and The Undiscovered Country!. The ship is ordered decommissioned at the end of The Undiscovered Country!. Paperwork included with the model kit indicated the ship was mothballed at the Memory Alpha ship museum, and in the novel The Ashes of Eden, by William Shatner, the Enterprise-A is removed from the mothball fleet before being destroyed defending the planet C Www@Enter-QA@Com

A warp field, makes it move!.
The warp core is in the center or body of the ship, the warp core is where the matter anti-matter converge into a plasma and fed to the to pod like things extending out of the body, they are just part of the engine, kinda like big electric magnets, but it creates a warp field, not a magnetic field!.
There's more to it but I'd be writing all night to explain it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
