Because Harvey was supposed to be the one to save Gothim by being the good guy, the "White Knight" whom everyone looks up to and who would be the "face" of justice because he is not masked!. Rachel would have understood and he knew that she was never going back to him anyway because she loved Harvey and she said that she could never be with him while Gothim needed him, which would be until thwe day he dies, as sad as that is to think about!. I thought when the Joker told Batman the addresses where Rachel and Harvery were at, he switched them!. And I'm pretty sure Batman told Gordon he was going to get Rachel!. So I'm thinking that Batman was going to get Rachel, but ended up where Harvey was because the Joker switched the addresses on him!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Batman saved Harvey Bc he knew that harvey was a hero!. well at least he thought he was!. In the end harveys on words cam back to haunt him!. He basically said that you either die a hero or you are a hero so long that you end up doing the oposite!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
