I personally won't rent from blockbuster, period, because they edit their movies (I have personally seen this, it's not just a rumor)!. However, their rental program lets you exchange a DVD at the store, which many people love!. Blockbuster charges $19!.99/month for a 3-at-a-time (unlimited per month) with five in-store exchanges!. Blockbuster boasts 80,000 titles, and have just started a watch online program, which is not (yet) included in the membership!.
Netflix:
There's no option to return/exchange your video at a store!. Netflix charges $16!.99/month for 3-at-a-time (unlimited per month), which also includes unlimited online viewing!. Netflix boasts over 100,000 titles, and they just started selling a tv-add-on to watch instantly downloaded movies!.

For online renting, I prefer Blockbuster because you can return the movies in the store!. I know this wasn't what you were asking about but, for renting movies I like to go to the red box which is located outside of a bunch of places!. It cost $1 per night to rent a movie!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
