Why has Disney's 1946 live action and animated movie Song of the South disap!

Question: Why has Disney's 1946 live action and animated movie Song of the South disappeared!?
That really was a great movie, it had some wonderful songs!. I think its because it was because the way blacks were portrayed but Gone With the Wind is still a Classic!. Disney needs to bring this back and touch it up a bit!.
Anyone think Disney will bring it back!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
They keep saying that there are plans to release it on DVD!. Various sites are accepting reservations (no money down at the reliable ones), including a couple of sites devoted exclusively to "Song of the South"!.

Remember that it's not alone! Vast numbers of movies still are unavailable on DVD and were never released on VHS!. So, I suppose we have to be patient!. Copies do turn up occasionally!. One site has this message: If you would like us to notify you when this title is available on video or DVD, click here!.

how was the film racist!?
It depicted black people being happy through hard times and white children accepting them!.
I don't want it to be remade but it is one of the best Disney films around!. I have it on video and watch it with my nephew, who loves it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I agree, I liked the movie; I guess Disney thought people would be up in arms because it portrays black slaves as being "happy"!. I found that you can buy it on E-bay!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
