Is The Joker really a Hero?!

Question: Is The Joker really a Hero!?
He barely killed any innocent people, maybe like 4, one was a vigilante who was breaking the law!. He single handedly stole all the mob's money and basically did what Batman couldn't!. He warned people about the hospital so that they could get out in time just so that he could leverage them against a man who was going to ruin Batman!. He was willing to kill a boatfull of convicts who were and would continue to be a burden on tax payers!. Not to mention he left their fate in their own hands!.!.!. Maybe hero is a bit too much, but certainly wasn't the villain he should have been, am I right!? Www@Enter-QA@Com

Jack Nicholson's depiction of (or perhaps rather the director's vision for) The Joker wasn't in line with the comic-book depiction!. He is a villain, but not an archetypal villain per se, more an archetypal prankster!. as some of what he did as you suggested could be construed as being for the greater good!.
Truth be told, The Joker is, and as was befittingly portrayed by Heath Ledger (RIP) a maniacal villain who kills both for pleasure and simply because he can!. He is egotistical and self-centred!. He's anarchic and his desire to maim victims leaving them with a grotesque smile on his face suggests he is truly a villain!. I can see where you're coming from that some of his actions could have been for the betterment of society but in truth every course of action The Joker took was for his own gain!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Good observation, but the Joker's point was to create anarchy!. He wanted to make the citizens of Gotham just as crazed and inhumane as he was!. By doing so, he had to break the spirits of its guardians, Batman and Harvey Dent, which he did!. Joker made Batman--who never takes a life--almost kill him, but managed to turn Dent into a murderer!. In the end, Batman could have let Joker fall to his death (like in the Burton movie), but saving him was Batman teaching Joker a lesson--that Gotham wasn't like him!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

You actually have quite a point there!.!.!. Heath Ledgers joker was a very complex character and raises many moral questions in the movie but I don't believe he was actually a semi- good guy he just made it seem that way slightlyWww@Enter-QA@Com

Hmm, you have a point!. I love the Joker, he's like the perfect villainWww@Enter-QA@Com

You do make a good point, but the joker was an "agent of chaos" he didn't care what happened to people as long as it served his purpose which in today's society technically makes him the villain!.It was interesting when watching the film however how right the joker actually is on some of his philosophies in regards to people in general, how there all schemers and how they'll throw you out like a leaper at the first sign of trouble, a lot of the things he says in the film are very true and make sense!.So i wouldn't call him a hero, i just think he's ahead of the curve!Www@Enter-QA@Com
