Question: MTV Wants to Remake 'Rocky Horror'
Ok- so here we have a generation of kids who have no idea what the RHPS is & it'd likely be their 1st introduction to it!. (though I'm sure they'd be REAL young kids)
Sounds like MTV is trying to attract the Camp Rock crowd!.
I wasn't one of those lucky people who got to see cool midnight showings back in the day, but I did see it & realize it's a cult classic!.
Here's a remake idea that is so wrong, it's not even funny!.

I have gone to over 100 midnight showings back in the day, in Berkeley Ca!. The cast of Indecent Exposure is known worldwide in RHPS circles!.
You do NOT remake cult classics!. You cannot replace Meatloaf and Tim Curry!. And dear god!.!.!.!.!. MTV would probably cast Lauren Hill as Janet and Paris Hilton as Magenta!.

What's the big deal!? People remake movies all the time!. Often they're a disaster like the Planet of the Apes remake, but they draw attention to the original!. Obviously this remake won't be as controversial, but many kids might rent Rocky Horror after seeing it!. There really isn't much else you can do to get the original talked about again!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
That sounds like it's going to be an epic fail, Fonzie!. I wasn't part of the generation who got to see it when it first came out, but I can't see this 'remake' thing going well at all! It definitely won't be as good as the original, I think we can be guaranteed that!.

*sighs*!.!.!.!.!.i don't think it really matters!. i'm not trying to defend MTV or anything here, but if anything on television bothers you so much, all you have to do is turn it off!. infact, if we all did that maybe television would be more practically useful!. mtv is gonna do as they damn well please as long as they have an audience (including the critics!.!.!.yourself)!. it seems to me that if you disagree with MTV remaking RHPS so much, why would you even give it any attention at all!? i think that they should leave the movie as it is, i saw rhps when i was about 15 or so and every time it comes on tv i watch it and i want to buy it but im low on cash right now, i think they should not touch it there is no one that can make it any better i mean who are they going to get to be the characters most likely crappy b or c list actors and a crappy singer for meatloaf Www@Enter-QA@Com

Who will they get to play Dr Frank-N-Furter!.Tim Curry owned that part!. No one can replace him!. I guess they will have Pete Wentz attempt that part and Avril Lavign play Janet!. It would suck!. If MTV wants to introduce them to a classic, have them show the original (like VH1 does)!. It would be a refreshing change from all that Tila Tequilla, reality show crap that they play!. Oh wait, RHPC (wow, that almost looks like Red Hot Chilli Peppers lol) has Music in it and MTV doesnt play music!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

After all, as sole writer of the story, music and lyrics, he is the owner of the show!.!.!.
I love that movie, and went through a rather addictive phase where I bought every version of the soundtrack I could find!. The one for the film was best, but for 2nd place I could never choose between the 'Roxy' show and the original 'Royal Court Theatre' show!.!.!.

ok I dunno where your link was supposed to go but I say sure go ahead and remake it!. The original was no where near the quality that my college performs on stage!. Even if they fail it must be better than the original!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
