I really don't think Ledger's performance was "best performance of all time!." You're caught up in hoopla, and you're not really considering what you are saying!.
As far as the best interpretation of the Joker as a canonic character from the various Batman comics, Jack Nicholson nailed the character!. Ledger's performance as an anarchistic psychopath is good, but the character he played really didn't have much to do with the Joker as he has been portrayed over the years in his prime medium!. I don't care to see reinventions for the sake of reinventions!.
Lots of folks are caught up in the hoopla of the "Dark Knight" film at the moment, and you've already given your opinion which is, I suspect, the only viewpoint you consider valid, so I suspect the poll will generally go the way you want it to!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Nicholson's Joker was much more whimsical and reckless!. Ledger's Joker was more evil and menacing!. I just like the feel of The Dark Knight more because Batman did not know how to tell the story of a superhero!. Thanks to movies like Spider-man and X-men Hollywood now knows how to tell a superhero movie and The Dark Knight is the pentacle of that new found story-telling ability!. omg - heath BY FAR!! I never liked Jack's Joker - too creepy!. But Heath was PERFECT!!! Everything Joker needed to be - evil, sadistic, and a sick sense of humor!. Heath definitely deserves to be nominated for an Oscar!. Go Heath!!! =)Www@Enter-QA@Com
