What does an audience enjoy, when watching a thriller?!
Question: What does an audience enjoy, when watching a thriller!?
I'm talking about the kind of thrillers which might involve a stalker, or killer chasing a victim!. Why would an audience find these films so compelling!? e!.g!. films like When A Stranger Calls, Psycho, Halloween!.!.and do we learn anything from watching them, e!.g!. how to deal with a similar situation!? personally, i hate thrillers, but i love michael jackson thrillers XD but i think they watch them for the excitement, and the "thrills"!. having your blood rushed and adrenaline pumping can be quite exciting for some people, and thrillers often have very interesting plot lines!. there may be other reasons, but this is all i got!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I would say, just because it is something unusual, so you are curious to see what happens next and how it all ends up!.
Thrillers to a certain extent do teach you a lot especially incase you get into such a situation next time!.You will probably have a clue on what to do or how to go about it!.
This also helps you build up your fantasy!.
If you empathize with the victim, then you will want it to end up in a better way!. Meaning you will not wish the killer kills the victim, or injures, so you will wish to see how the situation get solved,in that, the bad person gets killed or punished to cool the anger or fear in you!.

seriously !.!.!.a good thriller consists of two good things !.!.!.!.!.firstly a primary setting in which they use a certain amount of suspense building up gradually to a pivotal plot moment !.!.!.secondly the plot moment that causes [due to this suspense build up] the viewer to jump from an unexpected twist !.!.!.!.!.the best suspense are the original thinkers !.!.!.!.saw is one of few films to be original in decades !.!.!.!.seriously watch half the horror movies made in the last decade and observe the few repetitive themes !.!.!.!.psychos in nowhere land ,cannibals ,or serial killers with a few screws loose !.!.!.!.!.!.easy to pin point actions and actually narrate the plot as you watch [i did this when watching wolf creek same fomat used as older movies like texas chainsaw massacre ,hills have eyes ,etc!.!.!.]
i enjoy a good thrill but am awaiting the next movie changing moment ,until then i watch but i dont enjoy more than a few giggles !.
as for what they each us !.!.!.!.seriously if you get educated by horror films you have to question your motives for watching them !.!.!.!.i watch them cos they are usually quite funny and i love gore !.!.!.dont mean i will use it to learn how to hack someone up and laugh at the same time does it !? !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.[insert evil laugh and rubs hands together]Www@Enter-QA@Com

I really like movies like that cause they are realistic and the fact that it can happen is somehow exiting!.

I enjoy potato chips & icecream, lollies & chocolate !.I don't care about the movie!. If something like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre happened to me I would just walk away!.Or if someone was trying to kill me I would just ignore them!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
