Is it just me, or is the Titanic...?!

Snorefest '97! I thought it was great actually - Never in my life have i caught up on so much sleep! Oh, and the part where DiCraprio dies!.!.!. that was awesome!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I really, really detest hype, and Titanic was one of the over-hyped films of all time!. But that was not the fault of the movie itself, it never is!. When this happens, I refuse to be one of the sheep and wait until the hype blows over and then go see the film and judge it on its merits!. I get to see the movies cheap, as well!.

The wait was worth it!. Titanic was a great movie!. It stayed with me for some time and most movies I go to see are forgotten in large part by the next day unless something makes me think about it!. Titanic had lasting power!. I've always been fascinated by the story since my childhood, and while I could have done with out the made-up attempted murder of Jack angle that never happened, I could forgive it for the technical marvel of the thing!.

I'm sick of the hype over the Batman flick and will let that blow over before I go see it (for $2), and I'll do my best not to compare Ledger to Nicholson!. It's not fair to either!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Titanic was a run-of-the-mill teenage love story!. You could have changed the setting to Paris at the beginning of World War Two, changed Jack's death to being killed by the Nazis, and you would still have basically the same movie!. In years to come people who love Titanic will realize how they were pandered to!.

actually, i dont think many people do think its that great a film anymore, besides a few young women out there!. so i wouldnt call it overrated!. i can see why it became the most successful film of all time, its epic, romantic in a contrived sense and has attractive young (at the time) leads, and has cross generational appeal!. but i agree that its not a good movie at all, and yeah, it was waaaaaaaay too longWww@Enter-QA@Com

All the characters are shallow and one dimensional!. Leo (whatever his characters name was) was good and only good!. The perfect man!. Billy Zane was all bad and even though Kate fell in love with him enough to want to marry him, he was an awful man who had no positive qualities whatsoever!. I was happy when the boat sank and these paper thin characters were out of my life!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i personally thought the love story between kate winslet and dicaprio was too cliched (rich girl meets poor boy, rich girl's bf tries to get rid of poor boy, rich girl has sex with poor boy, catastrophe, bf disappears, poor boy sacrifices his life for rich girl)!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
