Who likes silent movies? And why would like them?!

I like silent movies because they show a different era in American history!. All movie making techniques were developed during the silent film age!. They invented story telling on film!. There was a rawer feel to the films!. There was a greater freedom to be artistic with film!. Films were cheaper to make and there was less attention on the bottom line!. And when you see films shot on location, you have a true sense of what the era was like!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

I love silent movies!. Films like "The Crowd", "The Wind", "Metropolis", etc!. are among my all-time favorite films, silent or otherwise!. They may be (very) old, but they can still be very relevant today!. And they can still be entertaining and funny and artistic and beautiful and nearly anything else modern films can be (except for talking, of course!.)

I think the reason many people see them as unappealing is because they're made in a very different style from today's films!. The acting is different, the camerawork is different, etc!. But I think most people could learn to like them if they gave them a chance!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

I like pretty much all Charlie Chaplin movies and most are silent!. Movies are either good or not, being silent is just adds to the uniqueness!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I like silent movies because Its like making up ur own story, well not exactaly but almost!. lol I try so hard to read there lips in some of the parts!. The shiek was cool!.!.!.I love Rudolph Valentino!Www@Enter-QA@Com
