This is coming from someone who has never seen a batman movie nor a Heath Ledger movie before Dark Knight!.!.!.!.

I thought the Joker was oh so sinfully delicious!. The Joker always had something interesting and clever to say, and topics and ideas that really made me think!.
I loved the action, stunts, and special effects, they were breathtaking!. The plot was great!.
The actors was perfectly casted, and did great performances!. Some parts were confusing, and at times it was hard to hear what Batman was saying because Bale's voice was to raspy, but overall I loved the film!.
Director did a terrific job with the film!.
I just saw it a second time and loved it even more the second time around!

Hands down Heath Ledger!.
Jack Nicholson captured a comic book-ish Joker, not one that would fit in with the real world!. Plus he wasn't as ruthless and maniacal as Ledger's Joker!. Ledger's Joker was more believable because his only weapons were knives really, therefore if anyone is as twisted as that Joker, they may very well imitate him in real life!.
Plus Ledger captured the nature of how the Joker is supposed to be, a menacing maniac that kills in twisted ways and plays twisted jokes, with witty puns that were still very threatening like "Let's not blow things out of proportion," with his hand pulling on the string of a bomb!.
Ledger also nailed Joker's laugh, Nicholson's sounded very weak and childish!.
But the biggest difference is that Heath Ledger disappeared into the role, he became the Joker on and off the set, unfortunately leading to his death!. One wouldn't see Heath Ledger on the screen (well they would, they just wouldn't recognize him as Heath Ledger but as the Joker) whereas Jack played himself playing the Joker, which is what he does in a lot of his roles; he plays himself playing another person!.
But his death only hyped up the movie for the fan girls, the comic book fans have been hyped up since Gordon showed Batman the Joker card three years ago at the end of Batman Begins!. From the trailers Heath's protrayal of the Joker was already very convincing and appealing!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Jack was an amazing Joker, but I personally think that Heath was in a league of his own as the Joker, it was truly his best performance, and truly his last performance!.!. Ok before The Dark Knight it was the animated version from "Batman The Animated Series" which was my favorite with the voice of Mark Hamill!. I considered him the best joker ( I don't like Jack Nicholson's version )!. But now, it's Ledger's version of Joker!.

Heath definitely was!. He made you believe he was crazy, while Jack did his own brand it wasn't as believable so much as over the top!. I thought Heath did a fabulous job at completely becoming the character and putting his own twist on it!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
