Mm good question, Jeff!. Well, I think that the movie offers a lot of interesting points, but I think that there was a dominant message that came across to me as I watched the movie!. I think that the message of Crash is that the truth is never objective!. Rather, it is only the combination of perspectives from the people directly involved in an encounter, and possibly God, who know how that encounter really took place!. This is most clearly seen in the interaction between the Middle Eastern shop owner's interaction with the Latino guy!.
Another message offered by the movie is dealing with cultural stereotypes!. The directors attempts to expose these stereotypes as being truthful in part (otherwise they wouldn't be what they are), but he also shows how these stereotypes can negatively impact how we evaluate those who we consider to be unfamiliar!. The fear of the unknown is what really is the driving force behind creating such stereotypes, and how it impacts the lives of those who are truly undeserving of these negative images!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think the message is you shouldn't judge someone by how they look, just because someone is Mexican doesn't mean they are here illegally, just because someone is from Iran doesn't mean they are terrorists!. What's it about!? A lot of things that happen to a lot of different people!. What's the message!? People are people!. Sometimes we make mistakes and sometimes we do the right thing!. We should not make judgments about somebody based on their national origin or skin color!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
