I -loved- this version of Romeo and Juliet!. I think it was a clever way to reinvent a classic tragedy that everyone is familiar with!. I'm a fan of many of the actors/actresses (Especially Paul Rudd as Paris--that was hilarious to me)!.

However, I would have to say what -really- made this movie was the vivid colors and the rapid, exaggerated movement of the cameras!. The way it was filmed was!.!.!.absolutely incredible to me!. I'm a huge fan of that exaggerated style (Frank Miller uses it, as well as Tarantino)!. And the smallest details really added to it, like the names of the swords on their guns--I can think of 'Rapier' off the top of my head!.

I also loved they way they remade popular songs, such as 'When Doves Cry!.'

Altogether a wonderful movie!. Luhrmann did a fantastic job directing, the acting was better than decent (though it wasn't the best I've ever seen), and the movie was just altogether beautiful!.

Harold Perrineau is one of the better actors in that movie, and his take on Mercutio is wonderful!.

My favorite scenes: Romeo and Tybalt at the fountain after Mercutio's death!. Claire Danes' choked sob that seemed to echo throughout the cathedral!. And the news station at the beginning/end!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I've seen it before - a long time ago!. It was more like a modern Romeo + Juliet!. I just don't exactly remember the whole story!. I do remember some scenes!.

Anyway, the link below might help!.=)Www@Enter-QA@Com

Great movie, even though it was very anachronistic!.!.!. The actors and the director was awesome!!! One of my favorites!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
