Okay so i was watchin the others!? does anyone know that movie!? well yeah I just dont understand it, Why does her husband leave!? Why did she kill her kids!? & Why in the hell are the kids scared of light!?

Why does her husband leave!?
according to the movie-when you die, you are sort of stuck in that place where you died!. that's why the fog gets thicker the further she is from the house-to keep her from leaving!. she was doomed to stay at that house and the husband doomed to stay on the battlefield!. i think the husband went there to try to help her understand!.!.how he got there still doesn't make sense to me!.

they have a disease called photosensitivity!.!.!.!.!."photo" means of light+sensitivity!.!. which basically means that their skin is sensitive to light

The movie is about a woman named Grace who is living with her two children Anne and Nicholas on an almost empty island in a mansion!. Her kids are sick with a rare disease that doesn't let them be touched by direct sunlight without being hurt in some way!.
Everything starts to change on the onset arrival of three servants!. An aging nanny, an elderly gardener, and a young mute girl!. Not until a series of events occur such as Anne drawing pictures of four people — a man, a woman, a boy called Victor and a scary old woman whom she says she has seen in the house, A piano is heard from inside a locked room when no one is inside, and every time that Grace entered and exited a room, the door would close and would leave her wondering why and the door slamming, made her realize that she wasn't alone in the house!.
Grace decided to hunt down the "intruders" with a shotgun but was not able to find them!. She would also scold her daughter for speaking nonsense about ghosts until one day, she started hearing them for herself!. She later decided on calling the local priest to bless the house!.
The servants had been scheming something and the garderner buried three gravestones under autumn leaves!.
One day when Grace was out in the forest, she got lost in the heavy fog and found her husband Chalrles who has gone to war and they found their way to the house!.
Charles seemed distant during the one day that he spends in the house!. Grace later saw the old woman from Anne's drawing dressed up like her daughter!. Grace said "You are not my daughter!" and attacked her it actually turned out that she attacked Anne instead of the old lady!. Anne refused to be near her mother after this event and her mother excuses herself!. The nanny told Anne that she had also seen the people but they cannot tell her mother because she won't be able to handle the truth!. Anne told her father Charles what her mother did to her and he got mad and told Grace that he was going back to war!. It is when Charles left that Anne continued to see things, including Victor's whole family and the old woman!.
That night the children sneaked out of the house to find their father, and stumbled upon some hidden graves!. They found that the graves belonged to the servants!. At the same time, Grace went to the servants' quarters and found a photograph from the book of the dead and was horrified upon seeing that it is of the three servants!. The servants appeared and give chase to the children, who made back hoem it was not until when Grace decided to shoot the servants that they told her that she had to learn to live together the that strange old woman was holding a séance with Victor's parents!.They later found out that the old woman and the boy Victor and his parents are not ghosts, but themselves!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Charles goes to war!.Partly due to him wanting to get away from the tense family situation (him and Grace not being able to leave the house due to the children's illness)!. i always thought the part where her husband comes to visit her is part of the fact he is trying to let her know she is dead meaning he died too!.
I think it was a combination of stress and depression, which led to a psychotic break!. Remember how she had the migraines!? And the servants left!. Maybe that was the straw that broke the camel's back!?!?!?

Her husband went to war!. Her children were allergic to the sunlight!. But she went cray one night, and killed her children and then herself!. The wife, children and servants were all ghosts, that's why when the husband did come home and was laying in the bed, he couldn't see or hear his wife and therefore it seemed like he was ignoring her!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
