OK. about the dark knight.?!

Question: OK!. about the dark knight!.!?
Am I the only one growing weary of everyone's pathetic little obsession with the dark knight and the joker!? Everyone was bit chin that heath ledger was going to be the joker, but once he dies, he's the most amazing actor you've ever seen!? no no honey, i don't think so!. The only reason everyone likes the new joker so much is because it's heath ledger and because heath ledger is dead!. I personally thought the dark knight was really good, but by the time i had gone to see it everyone was already obsessed with it and i was tired of it before i even saw it!. people like that have to ruin everything!. anyway, does anyone else agree with me on this!? you can leave rude comments, i could use a good laugh!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Completely agree!.

Everyone is expecting him to get an Oscar nod!.!.!.I don't see it happening!. I went to see the movie, I've seen all of the Batman films!.!.!.he did do a good Joker, but I don't think everyone would be so obsessive if he were still alive!. It's tragic what happened, but you don't deserve an Oscar for being dead, sorry!.

*Puts self in gallows*
I prefer Nicholson's Joker!.
Bring it on!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Personally, I think his acting was really good as the joker, And I didn't know he was dead until the movie ended!. Ok I'm not an American!. But his acting was really great!. And I think many of the actors that got oscars weren't acting that good specially on the movie they got it with, so why won't heath deserve one after his death!.!.!?!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well that was your first mistake, to me anytime a movie is about to come out and is getting major buzz that could lead to overhype!. I try and see the movie opening weekend so I don't get caught in the crossfire of the public BS!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I saw the dark night the second day it came being forced to see it i usually dont like those kinda of movies but im glad i did i LOVED the movie i thought it was such a good movie just a very long movie!. Im not obsessed with the movie but it was one of the best i saw this summer!. and honestly before i saw the movie i didnt know heath ledger played the joker till after the movie was over and my friend told me it was him!. But i do agree most people only liked it because he was in it and died!. I dont know why people do its so stupid i hardly knew who the guy even was let alone seen him in many movies i know some he was in but not a lot and the movies he was in not all were even that great!. But i deff!. agree with you on this!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I agree, the movie was great but the people who call it "the greatest movie ever" annoy me!. Yes, it could be dubbed ONE of the best films of THIS year and probably best comic book movie, but greatest movie ever is pushing the envelop for ANY movie!.

also people calling it the greatest movie ever and only praising ONE performance is stupid!. In my opinion, Heath Ledger was great and totally delivered, but people just ignored everything else that was great about the film!. The movie was dark, psychologically complex, epic and really pushed the boundaries of super hero movies!. It's sad when people come out of the theater and the only thing they can remember was the "disappearing pencil trick", what about the ethical, social and moral dilemmas!? What about the themes of escalation and vigilantism!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I agree with Alexis (and I think she meant Nicholson--Carrey played the Riddler!.!.!.)!.

I feel that the comic book series has aged along with us--we're no longer easily amused by campy, bumbling villains (and I'll never forgive Shumacher for what he did to Bane!.!.!.) portrayed in Adam West's Batman series!.

Nicholson was the Ledger of the late 80s!. He took a villain that had become!.!.!.lame, almost, and breathed life into it!. (Though it did help that "The Killing Joke" and "A Death in the Family" were released around the same time)!. And he did it brilliantly--he made the Joker -his-!.

Just like Heath did for this current generation submerged in gory movies like "Wrong Turn," etc!. In order to entertain today's audience, you have to do a lot more than politely kill!. You have to maim and mangle!. Ledger and Christopher Nolan realized this and set out to make a Joker more 'realistic' and dangerous--something the audience would not only be able to relate to as a villain, but be blown away by!.

Never before has Batman seen a Joker like Ledger's!. But back in '89, they'd never seen a Joker like Nicholson's either!.

I was--and still am--a huge fan of Heath, and I do believe that his death added to a hype that made me dread going to the theaters for fear that it wouldn't live up to my expectations!. But I was wrong!. I loved it--I loved his performance, just as I loved Nicholson's!. But for different reasons!. They can hardly be called the same villain!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i am not growing tired of anything anymore really because i realized that people i don't know are strangers and their opinions really count for nothing unless i ask for it and WANT to hear about it!. But yeah, i do not let stuff like that bother me because then it ruins an experience!.

as for the dark knight!.!.!.pretty good film!.!.!.but that's coming from me!.!.!.me being a person who is a fan of ALL the batman movies!. i honestly can't say anyone did a bad job with them!. maybe their were flaws but that comes with anything!.!.!.nothing is perfect and could never reach everyone's expectations!.

and i'm looking forward to lego batman!. about freaking time!! lol

i've had my say!. bring on the next installment!.!.!.which will probably not do as well considering none of the cast will wind up dead after the making!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It depends on who you are!.

People who are huge into movies and huge into comic books have a different perspective than people who aren't so much!. For those that are huge into comic books, Ledger's performance is a big deal because he's finally made the Joker actually evil while still remaining true to the character!. Other actors, such as Jim Carrey, have only ever been able to make him crazy!. Ledger was on a different level than Carrey due more to interpretation than anything!.

It's a huge deal to movie buffs because The Joker was so different than other characters than Ledger has played!. People were surprised by Ashton Kutcher in the Butterfly Effect, and so people are similarly surprised by Ledger as the Joker!. An Oscar nod, should it occur, would be based more off the complete reversal of character and dedication to the role, which you can't deny when you read the stories about people who interacted with Ledger on set!.

You, on the other hand, don't appear to be either of those things, so you see things a little differently, which is all right too!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
