Question: Does anyone else HATE Star Wars!?
Not so much that I hate Star Wars, but a bunch of grown men in their 40's running around with their friends trying to sound like darth vader and making light saber noises makes me want to slap the crap out of them!. If you're doing it for your kids, that's great!. If not, GROW UP!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

I agree!. I love the first three Star Wars but the latest three, just plan stunk!. Anyway back to my I agree!. I think we have a serious maturity issue with today's males and living in these Sci-Fi/Fantasy worlds is one of them!. Star wars made epic fantasy real!. For a generation of people it has defined what the cinema experience is meant to be!. Today it is probable that pc games will offer a deeper and more satisfying entertainment solution, but for pure visual and aural pleasure, mixed with basic emotional manipulation, there has never and will never be a better example of cinema than when star wars appeared over 25 years ago!. When you think of star wars, you must remember what else was happening at the time!. In America, the war in Vietnam had been lost!. In the U!.K economic disaster was occurring(a 3 day working week, and the army collecting rubbish)!. It was almost like the two most technically advanced countries in the world were going backwards!. Star wars let everybody escape from that reality and reach for a future that was uncertain but ultimately good!.

Well I do hate Star Wars, but it has nothing to do with 40 year old geeks (or whatever age) wanting to "play" Jedi!. Actually that aspect of it is kind of amusing

My hate for Star Wars is Lucas' destruction of a great story line ( I grew up watching) and concept by commercializing it into a piece of cr@p!.
People who get all "frothy mouthed" over college football and wrestling (two "sports" that totally pander to latent homosexuality) are the ones who really need to be slapped upside their heads!.
The nerds who fantasize about Star Wars are just a social comedy that's tantamount to keeping the kid aspect of an individual alive within them!. At least you don't have to worry about "roid rage" with the nerds!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It depends on what context they're doing it in!. If they're running around at a SciFi convention or movie theatre showing the newest Star Wars film, what's the harm!. If it actually consumes their life and takes precedence over them getting up everyday to go to work to support their family/ loved ones!.!.!.or themselves for that matter!.
