1!. Figuratively speaking, logic plays the role of strength and weakness in Nash's mind!. It is through logic that he is able to work out complex mathematical equations with relative ease!. At the same time, logic turns against him when he believes that he is able to see what does not exist, i!.e!. government conspiracies evident solely by patterns of letters and words!.
2!. Mind over matter-- I guess Morpheus said it best in The Matrix!. "The mind makes it real!." His schtizophrenia allowed his mind to see and experience things that did not exist!. His mind overpowered all of his other senses!.
3!. "Much madness is the divinest sense!." I'm not sure if he "traveled" the line perfectly!. It would appear that at times he fell off onto each side!. I guess you could say that his genius is apparent in his academia as well as his professional success, e!.g!. the Nobel Prize!. His genius, once again, was his weakness!. He began to see things that did not exist and used his "genius" to perceive things as real!. As illogical as it seemed, his genius was the reason he was "recruited" to work for the government!.
