!.!.!.it has been often rumored that the last surviving print of this film actually existed, up to the mid-to-late '60's, and was destroyed in a fire over in one of the MGM studio vaults!.!.!.

!.!.!.however, as the discovery of many long lost movie prints DO happen, from time to time, I have high hopes that yet another surviving print of this film, is sitting in someone's attic or basement, or some vault or cave, someplace!.!.!.!.just waiting to be discovered!.!.!.!.

!.!.!.for the time being, we DO have the respectable, photo-shot-edited rendition of the film, which was painstakingly recreated from the original shooting script, as well as the 1935 remake of the film, called "Mark of the Vampire", which was produced and directed by Tod Browning, and starred Bela Lugosi!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Most silent movies no longer exist!. In the olden days, the films that were used became volatile as they aged, and many movies spontaneously combusted right in the can!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
