My friend said that if there is smoking in a movie it has to be rated R, but I just saw one that has smoking and it is only PG13!. Was my friend just exaggerating!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

depends on who is smoking what and for how long it could be as low as PG (ie the villian smokes a pipe in one scene could still pass as PG)
most of the time it is PG13 and some people are trying to pass a law to up it to R but that would be art censorship

Smoking is not a deciding factor when it comes to the rating of a film!. Sex, nudity, language, and violence are the deciding factors!. There are just as many PG13 films that have smoking as R rated films!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
