Why is there a niche in the market for Dystopian Film?!

Simply put, those are the sort of films which some people (enough to comprise a sector of the the market) find sublime!. Horror films have become an apparently stable genre since Bush took office, rather than following the cyclic nature of their history, which could be taken as an indicator that we are living in what used to be euphemistically known as "troubled times!." Cynacism is becoming more dominant in comedies, including romantic comedies, and the concept of a hero being someone who subscribes to and acts upon a high moral code would likely be completely lost if not for the proliferation of movies focused on "superheroes," and the fact that it is one of the villains, not the hero, of the most popular of the superhero films that has captured the public's imagination is disturbing!. Eight members of various branches of the United States Armed Forces died in two countries yesterday, and six died the day before that but the end of our military presence in either country will likely not come soon, no matter who wins the upcoming Presidential election!. Events of the past week seem to indicate that capitalism is eroding, when several very large corporations threw in the towel and called upon the government to rescue them from a bankruptcy situation, but for all the implications of the event, it is not discussed nearly as much on the 24 hour news channels as the case of a young mother who may have killed her young daughter!.

These dramas/thrillers reflect a realistic world where the good guys don't win!. Bad things happen to good people and it is occasionally nice to see a film reflect this anti-Hollywood ending!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
