Why haven't they released the restored version of the movie 'Forbidden P!
Question: Why haven't they released the restored version of the movie 'Forbidden Planet' on DVD in (Australia) Region 4!?
I understand from the article in Wikipedia that the movie has been restored and remixed in 5!.1 audio and was released on HD/DVD and a special edition on SD/DVD in the US, to mark the 50th anniversary!.
I have bought a cheap copy on DVD that was released here over five years ago and I was very disappointed with the transfer!.
The copy of the movie was probably from the old laser disc version and not in stereo or in 5!.1audio!.
They keep doing this with a lot of old movies!.

There is something about Australia that it is treated like crap by companies!.
ever heard of Zero Punctuation!? He reviews video games and he is always going on how when a new game is released in the US, it takes "four bloody months" for it to finally get Down Under!.
