It depends on the movie really!. Usually I hate remakes (expecially when its a remake of a classic film such as that of Alfred Hitchcock or when its a remake of an Asian horror movie) in those cases I prefer the original!. Though I will admit I did like Rob Zombie's version of Halloween quite a bit, mainly because it was more gory/graffic/bloody than the original (which didnt have a single drop of blood) But I mostly lean towards originalsWww@Enter-QA@Com
Oh quite the opposite for the first comment, remake of king kong wasn't that good, but the new Halloween by Rob Zombie was amazing, so brutal, just like a decent horror should be, and it was still Halloween, not just another boring mainstream horror!.
Usually the originals are better, i prefer remakes, mainly 'cause of better acting, better production, but they tend to ruin the scripts a bit with remakes!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I usually prefer the original!. Personally I liked Rob Zombie's Halloween!. Tried watching one of the earlier ones and it was just missing something!. Maybe if I had seen them first I would have preferred them, I don't know!. Anyway though usually the original is better!. Just adding some special effects doesn't actually make the movie better!. That is what tends to be done with remakes though!. They don't try to add to the story or anything, just add some special effects to cash in on not being able to think of a new movie!.
