Question: What happened at the end of american psycho!?
I'm usually quite good at picking up twists and strange endings in films but I recently watched American Psycho and at the end when it turns out he didn't murder all those people and all the confusing bits, I was really confused!. can someone explain what the whole twist was meant to be please!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well, they completely leave it in the air!. There are two theories:
1) He imagined the entire thing and that it was all in his head!. He didn't murder all of those women or listen to all of that bad music!.
2) The rich Wall St!. boys' club that he belonged too was pretty loyal to him and cleaned the whole thing up!.
I saw the movie in the theater and several times since, and I'm still not sure which of the two happened!. I think they leave it to your imagination!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

This is my view:
The twist is that he is just a psycho!. For the whole film you think he is running around murdering people, gun fights in the street, cars blowing up etc!. Then at the end of the film you realise he's not a murderer, he's just a bit mental in the head!.
