I remember seeing this scene where a mother was in hospital, and her two sons came in, one about 5, the other in his teens and i think the mother had cancer!? and she had to say goodbye to her two sons!. it was VERY sad!. i could tell from the film quality it was filmed in the 80s-90s!. I remember the furniture near the mothers bed was wicker!. haha!.

It does sound like 'Terms Of Endearment' - she did have two sons that came to see her in the hospital named Tommy and Teddy!. Her older son was mad at her in the scene and she tells him that she knows that he really loves her which was extremely sad!.
That was a really good film with great performances by Debra Winger and Shirley MacLaine!.
