Ok i was looking for finale scene lyrics on google and one said that the old beggar woman is Lucy!. I thought that when she came in the shop that she would know it was him!.I am so confused and i need to know if lucy really is the beggar womn!!!Please help me!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Lucy is the beggar woman!. Remember in the beginning when Mrs!. Lovett says that Lucy took arsenic!? Well instead of killing Lucy it made her go crazy (and I'm sure all the crap that the judge did to her didn't help either)!. And in the end when the beggar woman comes into his shop and she says "I know you," Sweeney kills her because a) he's in a killing frenzy and b) he doesn't want anyone around who recognizes who he is!. He doesn't recognize her because she doesn't show her face often and plus she has changed so much from what he remembered she looked like!. So when he discovered that he killed Lucy he goes after Mrs!. Lovett and accuses her of lying to him, to which she replies that she didn't really lie as she didn't say that Lucy had died (she had just implied it)!. Plus Mrs!. Lovett had fallen in love with Sweeney and had hoped that he would fall in love with her and forget his past life!. So Sweeney, of course, kills her!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
