I need helping finding this film!.
The protagonist is an author who writes books, but then gives them to a famous "writer" (woman), who then publishes them under her own name!.
The plot is complicated, because you don't know the real identity of the protagonist!. At first, you think he is an escaped sexual offender and he picks up a woman (Bridget) at a gas station after her boyfriend leaves her!. He does some magic tricks and then goes with her to her parents to pose as her boyfriend!. He goes with her daughter to a stream to catch fish, but is gone all day and she starts to worry!. At the end, he gets on the published author's sailboat and announces that he isn't going to continue writing for her!. The published author then commits suicide by jumping down a stairwell after she is released from the police concerning the protagonists disappearance!.
