Despite his name he is supposed to be a Guppy!. In the TV series it was revealed that his real name is Guppy Number 35, so Flounder is his nickname!. I've also seen many flounder in my life and they look nothing like Flounder while I can see him being a Guppy based on his coloring!.
NOTE: Someone mentioned that Guppies are freshwater fish which is true!. However, this is a kid's movie so I doubt the writers/artists were going for 100% accuracy when they created each character!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
