Question: Which film is this!? (about 1990ish)!?
I don't remember the title of the film but I can rememer kind of what happens in it!.
It's some goverment experiment into some kind of worm hole travel, do this they drop the people in the craft through a series of giant spinning rings!. There's a woman whos in the craft which is the main character of the film, and shes friends with some millionare who has cancer - so goes up to the interational space station to try to stop the cancer growing!.
The woman's convinced the experiment worked and that she traveled into another universe, but everyone else thinks nothing happened and that she just dropped though!. The experiement kind of gets broken I think so they can't try it again, but it turns out the goverment have another secret one built somewhere else!.

Sounds like "Contact" with Jodie Foster released in 1997 also starring Matthew McConaughey!.
Was one of the 1st movies promoted as one to watch on the (at the time) the new DVD format in the late 90's!.
