By the end he is insane (!?)!. The author, Sutter Cane, has written a book that drives everyone who reads it insane!. When it's made into a movie, everyone who sees the movie is driven insane!. At the beginning, Sam Neil's character doesn't want to be locked up in the insane asylum because he's trying to stop what's coming!. Later, he knows it's too late to stop it, so he doesn't want to be let out of the asylum!. Eventually, he can get out because everyone has gone mad and there's no one "minding the store"!. So rather than be the only sane one left, he goes into a theater to watch the movie and join in on the end of the world!.
What's actually happening to them is up for debate!. They may just be insane, or maybe they're being possessed!. Maybe something more horrible than both is happening!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
