It was a good movie, but I have to say i'm not sure I agree wit what happened or, honestly, understand why it's "the greatest romantic movie of all time"!.
To start wit, Allie only knew Noah for one summer!. Okay, yes, you can fall in love in one summer!. But at 17!? When you've barely lived your life and it's dictacted by your parents like hers was!? I don't know!. Then we have Noah, who really should have clicked on that maybe, juz maybe, she wasn't gettin' his letters!. He could go off to war, but couldn't pay her a visit in person!? In seven years!? Pfft!. And if it was a money issue, if Allie really loved Noah for seven years, she couldn't have gone back to see him in person!? Why wait until she had a fiance!? Back to Allie, she's engaged to Lon, but then 'makes love' wit Noah!.!.!. What happened to trust!? She juz told Lon she loved him the night before! I cannot understand people that cheat, whether it's a girl or a guy!. Hell, she agreed to marry Lon, she knew when she left that she was going to go see Noah!.!. She could have been honest wit Lon right there!. If she can cheat once, she can surely cheat again!. Same goes for Noah!. If he can have sex wit Allie knowing that she's engaged to another guy, couldn't he cheat on Allie wit someone further down the road!? Lon seemed like a good guy to me!. Money aside; coz that's not important; when Allie went to see him at work unannounced, he didn't get mad that she'd walked in, he made time for her!. He let her go 'clear her head' when she wanted to leave for a few days, and he even said he shouldn't have to persuade his fiancee to be wit him!. He was right!. If you love someone, you want to be wit them!. I could not understand Allie telling Lon she knew she should be wit him, then in the next scene arriving at Noah's house wit her bags!. Wtf!? The only thing I can't understand is how Lon could forgive Allie for cheating on him!.!.but I guess he really loved her!. I'm not saying Noah didn't love Allie!.!.!. coz towards the end when he stayed wit her and tried to remind her of her life wit him, not everyone would do that!.!. but Allie, it seems, loved both guys!. And she picked the guy that she'd spent less time wit, the guy that she fought the most wit!. I too, would want a guy that wouldn't be afraid to tell me if I pissed him off or w/e, like Noah, but c'mon!.!.!.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the movie!.!.!. and it did make me cry at the end, but I don't think it depicts real life!. Whilst I'm a romantic in theory, i'm a cynic in reality!. In real life, they both wouldn't have died together in each others' arms!. Noah would have cheated on Allie, or maybe Allie would have decided that she couldn't live a poorer standard of life than she was used to, and it would have ended in divorce!.
Oh well!. I'm a girl, can't say it's my favourite movie of all time!. Lol!. But it was interesting!. It's nice to believe in true love like that, if you don't think of all the issues like I juz did :)Www@Enter-QA@Com
