Brokeback mountain questions ? I didn't get ..... ?!

Question: Brokeback mountain questions !? I didn't get !.!.!.!.!. !?
So , i watched brokeback mountain yesterday (heath ledger was awesome ,and i'm not just saying that)but there were a few things i didn't get :

1) At the end , did jack really get beaten to death or was that just Ennis's fear creating that idea because of what he had seen when he was nine (the gay guy lying dead) !?

2) If this was what happened , did Laureen know that jack was killed because he was gay, because she seemed rather cold about his death at the end when she was on the phone!?

3) What was the significance of the last line "Jack , I swear!.!.!." , was this relating to another part of the film , did i miss out on something !? What was he swearing !?

Lol , i didn't get those few things, thanks for answering (it was a great film i think )

I love that movie-- one of my top 20 faves of all time, probably!. Bawled my eyes out the first viewing in the theaters!.!.!. Anyway

Question 1: there isn't a clear answer!. But Ennis was forced to see that man with his penis ripped off by a rope dead in the irrigation ditch when he was a child, scarring him for life; also being found out and beaten, ostracized was one of his greatest fears and what kept him so closeted!. Ennis knows that Jack was a lot more open about his sexuality, Ennis had never been to Tx and so it was his imagination, but still!.!.!. with Jack having at least one sexual relationship in TX, he could've easily been killed and then the crime covered up to be a tire accident!. Or it was just what his wife said!. Either way, it deeply hurt Ennis and showed that he feared Jack had a scary and violent death, which broke his heart!. He loved him soo much!.

Question 2: Laureen, I am about 99% sure, had no clue EVER that Jack was gay!. Why!? B/c she didn't care enough to notice!. Jack's duty was to impregnate her, work for her father and be her companion to dinners and dances, etc!. She definitely came off as the type of woman who just quit caring about sex and closeness after a few years, like it was boring to her!. Jack wasn't her soulmate and she knew it; he was just "good enough" for what she needed him for!. More simply: NO!. And I think she did love him, but she's a colder character; plus, when Ennis called, it'd probably been 3 to 6 weeks after Jack's death!. Laureen doesn't strike me as much of a cryer period!.

Question 3: In my opinion (to get anything but an opinion, you'd have to ask the screenwriter), it doesn't matter so much what Ennis was going to say, but that it showed him at one of his most emotional moments still holding back, unable to express his feelings!. Heath Ledger's performance was so powerful and UNDERSTATED!. Like, he said so much, conveyed such deep emotions with only his eyes, body language, facial expressions, and grunts/mumbles!. He loved Jack probably in a deeper more complex way than even Jack loved him!. So, to me, it's not so much "what was he going to say!?" to "wow!.!.!. look at all he conveys without saying anything!.!. amazing!.!.!. waaaa!"

Wasn't the film like a gay 60's Romeo and Juliet (by that I mean an amazing and more modern twist on the classic Shakespearean romantic tragedies)!? It's so powerful!. I sat in the theater until the lights came on, just sitting still and staring off!.

Hope this helps you!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Excellent film: 1) Jack was really beaten to death!.
2) Laureen knew that he was beaten to death because he was gay, and she didn't tell that to Ennis, but she was cold because she knew that Ennis had been more important to Jack than she was!.
3) Ennis was probably remembering Jack, but that's a guess, the phrase was never explained!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

it is a bit confusing!!
1)he was actually beaten to death
2)she did know how he was killed and why!.!.
3)i think he is saying that he will always remember brokeback mountain as it meant alot to jack!.!.
hope this helps!!
i loved the film!.!.!.!.

The attached links may help!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

1!. it is supposed to believed that he was beaten to death, (i think in the book it says if he was or not

2!. I think the character Laureen was a bitter women and this "incident" was a inconvenience to her life! I also think that she knew on some level that her husband loved someone else, and not her

3!. Maybe he wanted to say "Jack, I swear!.!.!.!.i could have change but" idk though, you right that part was kind of confusing!

sorry i really dont think i answered your questions, but hope that helps!

but i think you will understand it better if you watch it again!Www@Enter-QA@Com
