Answers:
well, i am 13 years old and i started to like those 'R' rated movies since i was 4th grader!. i don't care about the violence quite a lot unless there are too many unnecessary violence and sexual and nudity scenes!. i like to watch GOOD movies!. so what i am saying is that watch friday the 13th and find if there are unnecessary stuff in it!.
and i don't think girls in 5th graders will like it and maybe some kids are still immature so maybe don't let them watch the movie cause they will act like JASON or his mother!. i one time acted as neo from matrix when i was in 3rd grade at recess and hurt my friend i was sent to the principal's office!. you can show them PG-13 movies or some GOOD 'R' movies like NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN or DEPARTED or like some action movies like DIE HARD!. those movies are okay and just tell them not to act like them or they will be seriously hurt or maybe kill themselves or maybe hurt others!.

so i think you shouldn't and you made a good choice!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

There is a scene in "Friday the Thirteenth" where a pair of naked teenagers are harpooned in a bed after they have been copulating, and another scene that depicts full frontal female nudity and a throat slitting!. You made the right decision to not show that particular movie to ten year olds, but I think your main problem would have been with parents, once the kids described the film to them!. Obviously, whoever asked you to show "Friday the Thirteenth" to fifth graders through high school seniors had no clue of the contents of the film, or completely misunderstands "Ages and Stages!."Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yes! You were totally right!. First off, it's an R-rated movie!. Although some older movies were rated R simply because there was no PG-13 rating at the time, this isn't one of those movies!. It was definitely an R-rating!. All the sequels have also been rated R!. I'm not going to say you'd absolutely have to be 17 to see it, but definitely at least in high school!.

There lots of nudity and sex!. Basically, the plot is camp counselors have lots of sex and are punished by Jason!. I don't remember the movie vividly anymore, but the parents' guide on Internet Movie Database says that there's a scene where a couple is shown having sex, they're nude, and you can see the guy thrusting and hear moaning!. Even if there was no sex, it's a really gory slasher movie with graphic death scenes, slashings, and dismemberments!.

I have two daughters, 9 and 13, and would never let them watch this movie!. Sure, there are always going to be a few parents who let their kids see everything, but let them see it at their house then!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

YES YOU MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE AND KUDOS TO SAYING NO!!

Actually it is not just the nudity that is troublesome, it is the content of the horror film!. The child and adolescent brain is not yet equip(meaning they are still growing and developing) to put the film content in an appropriate perspective, and for some kids watching such a film without the processing tools can be traumatizing!. Yes, you made the right choice:
not because of the possible portrait of naked people, but because of the ghastly gruesome killing scenes (like a decapitation for example)!.

This movie was rated R for a reason!.

I watched this movie at the age of 14 and it took me a long time to get over the fears I developed after seeing it!.
