Well, I have always said there are two types of horror movies!. Spooky and Psycho!. So I will give my favorites for both of them!.
Spooky: The Ring!. This realy freaked me out and it is one of those that stay with you!. I could not get that picture of Samara out of my mind!. The night I watched it for the first time I did not drift off to sleep until about 1 because I was literally afraid to close my eyes!. That movie had me so jumpy, when I was laying in bed, the DVD case for the movie was laying at the front of my bed!. I moved my foot and accidentally kicked it off!. The mere sound of it hitting the floor scared the bejesus out of me!. That's how jumpy it makes you!.
Psycho: Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning!. Easily the most terrifying movie I have ever seen!. The origin of Leatherface is truly scary and the sound of the loud revving of his chainsaw always sends a huge chill down my spine!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

Probably "IT" (the clown movie with the book by steven king)!.
It scared me because I didn't see the end of it where he gets killed (until years later) and I was only about 9 when I watched it!. Having said that, I still probably wouldn't even watch it now on my own :-/Www@Enter-QA@Com

I can't sit through Halloween I get so creepied out by Michael Myers he gives me the shivers lol im probably so scared of this movie because when I was 15 home alone I had like a vision of his face in my window so I've been scared ever since talking about it now brings back the memories ugh lol!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
The descent, the way the creatures would pop up was so scary i couldn't sleep for the whole night!.
It's good in story line as well!.

The Silence of the Lambs!. Scary because the character of Buffalo Bill was based on real serial killers, and because Anthony Hopkins' portrayal of Hannibal Lecter was so convincing!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
