Can somebody please tell me what happens at the end!. I wathced it before and I only got as far of Evan trying to kill himself in the tub!.

Sorry if I can't explain very well, I've only seen the movie once and it was a while ago!.
Well, at the very end of the movie Evan gives up trying to go back and fix his life so he can be with Kayleigh and decides to do what is best for her!. So, he goes back one more time a changes something that happened at the party where he met Tommy and Kayleigh!. When Kayleigh comes up to talk to him, he says something along the lines of "Go away, never speak to me again," and she listens!. In the last scene, Evan is grown up again and is walking to the street where he sees Kayleigh!. They both stop for a minute, but they don't speak to eachother, since Kayleigh doesn't even know Evan!. Evan is tempted to say something to her, since he's still in love with her, but doesn't want to screw up her life again and he continues to walk down the street, leaving her behind!.

i actually saw the alternate ending before i saw the theatrical one!. in the theatrical ending, ashton kutcher's character insults amy smart's character when they first meet as kids so they never become friends and each one grows up to live a seemingly happy, healthy life!. i like the alternate ending better because they rewind back to ashton kutcher's character's mother's pregnancy with him!. i think in the movie she had lost a few pregnancies before having him and in this ending she loses her pregnancy with him, too, and he was never born!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Such a good movie- you didn't miss much, but should definately see it all!.
Previous posts were right in saying that he goes back to when they were children and first met at a birthday party, and he is mean to her and says that he will kill her whole family (mind you they are what, 5-6!? lol) and she gets scared of him and they never become friends!. Then you see them YEARS later, both successful looking- Kayleigh and her brother get taken away from their abusive father and get to go and live with their mother, since Evan was the reason she stayed with her horrible father, but since she had nothing to make her stay they went and lived with her- and they happen to pass eachother on the street!. They both look back and eachother- without the other knowing- and then continue on their way since they dont REALLY know eachother but feel some kinda !.!.!.!. connection, enough to at least look!. He lives a few other alternate lives but in the end he goes back and is mean to Kailee as a kid so that they are never friends, and nothing bad ever happens to her again!. They pass eachother on the streets and only glance at eachother!.
