I really dislike telling anyone not to go see a movie just because I did not like it -- you've heard the saying "one man's fancy is another man's folly" -- but anyway here are my comments:
PRO's : very realistic war scenes, specifically the soldiers suffering devastating blows/shots ; the cast is believable and enjoyable
CONS : way too long for an movie (2 hours 20 (or 40) minutes) ; while I appreciated the authenticity of the movie, I don't really enjoy bloody movies -- this one might have been just over the edge; We never really got an in-depth understanding of what the missing statue's head was really was all about -- when we saw the trailer for this movie a couple of weeks ago, we truly thought it was going to be more of a movie about statue-giving religious miracles; The miracle that they refer to in the title is at the end of the movie, yet vague, is unexplained and rushed -- almost as if someone said "Geeze, this movie is already 2 hours and 20 minutes so let's wrap things up!"
Now, with all that said and done, please go and see it -- I'll probably be the only person who didn't like it -- and it will go down in cinema history as the greatest movie ever made -- receiving 15 Oscars !!Www@Enter-QA@Com

take this in account about the movie it took place back in WWII where race relation wasn't good, beside some of the name calling it was a good movie!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
