Every James Bond ever made has had a scene that had Q showing James Bond a bunch of gadgets that will help him with his mission (It's not really a pen)!.
The last James Bond didn't have ANY gadgets, which kind of sucked!.

I don't honestly know is the short answer!. I do know that John Cleese isn't in the new film - so that's gadget man Q out of the equation!. Samantha Bond (Miss Moneypenny) is another notable absentee!. Apparently the movie begins about an hour after Casino Royale finished (Bond looking for revenge in Italy) so it seems like a sequel!. Rumours have it that James Bond kisses a guy! And I've even heard that the familiar phrase "The names Bond, James Bond" isn't used in the final cut!. Is this really the James Bond we all know and love!?
